On Saturday, October 24th our beloved monthly Le Frique Sonique celebrates our 5th Anniversary! For this special occasion we’re bringing out a living legend. One of the most singular styles and sound, KARIZMA joining JEREMY SOLE. This is one is NOT to be missed! I’m so honored and humbled at what we’ve all come together to build, and I thank you so much for being a part of it ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 Thank you to all of the guest DJs, bands and musicians that have blessed the stage, and especially I want to thank the dancers who come out and churn the cauldron of sweat and good energy every month. We’ve also come together to do some good in raising funds for Puerto Rico, for the LA wildfire victims, for CHIRLA (Coalition For Human Immigrant Rights), and for the medical expenses of @ DJ Adam Gibbons. It was a core part of the intention for #LeFriqueSonique, to use our collective effort to make a difference when needed, AND I AM TRULY PROUD AND GRATEFUL OF THE POWER WE HOLD WHEN WE ALL COME TOGETHER. • LE FRIQUE SONIQUE is bodies of every shape and shade moving together, sweating out the toxins of the day – absolutely all are welcome here and intolerance is not tolerated. Celebrating the bold, untamed styles of every culture and genre worldwide. Sounds from Lagos to Bahia, Brooklyn to Bogota, Detroit to Berlin, Kingston to Chicago, London and beyond. LFS nights are unique in that THERE IS NO OPENING ACT. From 9:30-10pm guests gather in the front bar. Just after 10 the doors to the main room open, everyone walks in to begin the 4-hour journey together from the very first record. LFS is at Moroccan Lounge, DTLA Arts District. Native Sol pop-up. Jamaican food cooked fresh by Ozi’s Kitchen. * So much thanks to @fusicology and all the promoters keep the LA music and clubs scenes bubbling during this challenging time.
