1. About Wax

Wax is a curated music streaming archive where creators (DJs and artists) publish on-demand shows and livestreams with timestamped liner notes, and visitors browse, play, and participate via comments, likes, and live chat. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Accounts

You can browse most content without an account. To create or manage shows, post comments, like shows, or chat during livestreams, you must register using email and password or a magic link. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it.

3. Creator Content

If you publish shows, liner notes, artwork, or other material, you represent that you either own the rights or have the necessary permissions to make it available through Wax. You retain ownership of your content and grant Wax a non-exclusive license to host, stream, transcode, and display it as part of operating the service.

You are responsible for the accuracy of metadata, tracklists, and liner notes you publish, and for complying with any third-party rights (music licensing, artwork, samples, guest contributors).

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content you do not have the right to distribute.
  • Use the service to harass other users, including via comments or livestream chat.
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or playback restrictions.
  • Scrape or redistribute content in ways that disrupt the service.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Livestreams and Chat

Livestream chat messages are delivered in real time and may be retained for the duration of the stream. Creators and moderators may remove messages or restrict participation in their streams.

6. Availability

The service is provided "as is" and may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, upstream provider issues, or other factors. We do not guarantee that shows, comments, or chat history will be preserved indefinitely.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
